MRT Exhaust - Version 2.0
When I bought the 2010 V6 Camaro, one of the first things I did was replace the stock mufflers with an axle back system from MRT. The new MRT axle back system transformed the quiet V6 into a roaring power plant! For details on the system, including videos, you can click here. Well after a few months, Scott from MRT decided to come up with another axle back setup, one with a more refined sound, one that wasn't quite as aggressive as the current axle back system but still had that sports performance sound. So with Scott knowing that I'm always open to trying new things out, he gave me a call to see if I wanted to try out this new axle back system... and of course I jumped at the chance! And with that I was off to MRT!
At the shop, the new exhaust was quickly assembled and installed on my car. And before I knew it, it was time to take the car out for test drive! On start up we could tell that the sound of the exhaust had definitely changed. We then took the car out for quick spin. What we found was that the new exhaust was slight quieter, a little less aggressive with a more refined, smooth sound. Also with the original MRT exhaust there is some resonance that was occurring right around 2000 RPM under certain loads. With this new version the resonance has been virtually eliminated. The new MRT Version 2.0 simply sounds amazing!
So let's take a look at the new MRT Camaro Axle Back Exhaust that I fondly refer to as Version 2.0!
